CHS Teacher of the Year
Getting this honor made Dr. Ruffolo feel special, but he didn’t take all the honor for himself. As he has said on multiple occasions, he couldn’t have done it without the help of his own mentor, his interns, the vice principals, principal, fellow teachers and the rest of the faculty and support staff. “The reality is I learn from them too! Every step of the way with their help makes me better.”
Kaicie’s Picks for Summer Reading
For fans of sharks, history and even the great classic movie Jaws, Close to Shore is an historical book about the terrifying shark attacks that had hearts pounding in the summer of 1916. The book brilliantly re-creates the summer of 1916 with pictures and historical details that will either have you scared of the water or wanting to go explore every beach you go to this summer.
Spirit Week Adds a Dose of Excitement to CHS
The Freshmen Class of 2018 came into high school this year very spirited, but when it came time for Spirit Week, the excitement had dipped. The Sophomore Class of 2017 brought an outstanding amount of energy and were ready to win. The Junior class of 2016 tried to beat the seniors at all costs, but they ultimately came up short. There were people in every grade that didn’t try, while others went all out everyday. In the end, Spirit Week 2015 was won by the seniors.

Saying Goodbye
Another school year has passed and a new one will soon approach, causing the cycle to start over again. Today, sadness will not dwell in us because we are not saying a farewell or goodbye. For now, we are just stating, see you later!
