The world has a close minded view of cool,
Success is measured by money and fame,
In hope to be known we become a fool,
One day respected, the next quite lame.
I am a mouse sitting in the corner,
Searching for a dream like a block of cheese,
Lost, finding my way like a foreigner,
Indecision in life is my disease.
I don’t need much to be happy in life,
After college I will start my career,
Work hard and someday become a good wife
Without the whispers of doubt in my ear.
I promise I will live life for myself,
Old, I’ll smile at pictures on my shelf.
