Venom Is a Marvel Film Worth Seeing
BY STEPHEN RUSSO
The first standalone movie for the Marvel anti-hero, Venom, turned out to be a box office hit over the past few weeks. But “how is it?” is the real question.
Tom Hardy who played the role of Eddie Brock, a very sarcastic and energetic news reporter, brought the boldness, humor, and personality of the comic book character to life. The CGI and voice acting of Eddie’s alter-ego, Venom, was very well put together by Marvel Studios. Fleischer definitely gave a very in-depth storyline but I just wish he gave us more information about Eddie Brock’s life before the symbiote Venom latched onto him.
The introduction to Eddie Brock only took up maybe 30-45 minutes of the movie and it felt rushed. But overall this standalone film of the symbiotic creature, Venom, and his relationship and adventure with Eddie Brock was a film that met its expectations. I highly recommend you take the time to see it if you haven’t already.
