The venue was beautifully decorated with garland and red bows hanging from the ceiling to celebrate the beginning of Christmas cheer. The beauty was simply wonderful! When you first entered the building, a large Poinsettia tree took up the center of the room and it had a great wow factor. It also provided a great photo op.

The Seniors are saying goodbye this year, and with that goodbye comes the last of many traditions and memories, one being Winter Ball. The extravaganza was held for Juniors and Seniors on December 9th at Quidnessett Country Club. Ladies dressed in long ball gowns while men suited up to dance the night away.

Overall, it was a night of fun spent with friends, and no one would have it any other way. It was a time specifically dedicated to upperclassmen achievements and recognition, and it was greatly appreciated by us all.
Chaperoned by several CHS teachers, the dance floor was open to students and any teacher who felt like dancing or busting a move. The only time there was no movement on the dance floor was during the dinner of salad and chicken parmigiana. Afterwards, crowds of individuals were dancing in groups big and small, having the time of their lives.
Unlike Prom, no awards like King or Queen were handed out. The night simply celebrated the beginning of Winter and its festivities. Each person came because they wanted to and were genuinely excited to take part in such a momentous occasion.
And now, with Winter Ball over, Prom is the only dance holding Seniors back from entering adulthood. Although it is a bittersweet moment, it is one we will remember forever. As it gets closer, remember to have fun, be safe, and cherish it all.
