This year, Varsity Revue was a fun safari journey. If you weren’t able to make the trip, here is a look back.
This year’s show had two amazing emcees. Lauren Hart and Viviana Ruggieri led the show with amazing impressions, funny bits, and surprising props. Some of the bits included a personally choreographed cheer, as well as band props that included a live hedgehog named Ernie.
Act one started off with an amazing performance of “The National Anthem” sung by Deana Cerce. This song was followed by the select chorus on Thursday. Soloist Julia Gencarella and the jazz ensemble performed on Friday with soloists Marcus Evans, Danny Elomaa, Krista Swedits, and Nick Kanaczet. Additionally, soloists Sarah Molinares, Jayla Sanchez, Emma Cidade, Ray Thibeault also performed. There was a duet between Alex Brock and Jessica Gannon, and a song from Ally McCoy, Ashley Ardito and Tyler Keener. The CHS cheer team also performed both nights.
Lastly, in act one on Friday night there was the teacher act including a number of favorite teachers. They did an amazing choreographed cheer that will definitely be on record for years to come.
After intermission there was even more fun, starting off with the CHS dance team and moving on to a beautiful piano rendition of “Fix You” played by Sydni O’Brien. The second act lineup also included soloists Abi Derosier, Meg Brietzke, Gabrielle Brzoza, and Tyler Keener, as well as a duet by Liz Kenney and Remy Thibeault. Jessica Gannon sang and played the piano. Last but not least, how could we forget the meaningful, sentimental and unforgettable tribute rap “Dear Mom” by Matt “Money” Hansen.
The show had tons of preparation from both performers and the backstage lighting and stage crew to help make this show truly great. We can only hope that next year is as great as this year. Hope you enjoyed a look back on this years Varsity Revue.
