A book is a common sight in the summer. You can find people reading a book on the beach or sitting on a bench on the boardwalk. Kids are rushing into libraries and bookstores to get their summer reading books and new books are released, many of them centering around the beach and the ocean.
Many books are coming out this summer. Here are some hot books for the summer.
The Summer Of Chasing Mermaids by Sarah Ockler- the author of the bestselling book Twenty Boy Summer has created what has the potential to be another bestseller. When Elyse d’Abreau, the youngest of six sisters who is destined for stardom, gets in a boating accident, she not only loses the ability to sing, but to speak as well. The Witch Hunter by Virginia Boecker- Elizabeth Grey is one of the king’s best witch hunters. She is devoted to destroying witchcraft and spreading justice. Her life is turned upside down when she herself is accused of witchcraft and sentenced to be burned at the stake. Her salvation comes in the form of Nicholas Perevil. Nicholas is the most powerful and dangerous wizard in the kingdom and he has a deal for her. He will save her from execution if she helps him break a deadly curse that has been placed on him. Nicholas and his followers do not know of Elizabeth’s witch hunting past and if they find out she will have more to fear than being burned at the stake.
Last Year’s Mistake by Gina Ciocca- During the summer before freshman year, Kelsey and David became inseparable best friends. Then a misunderstanding turned Kelsey into the school joke and her life crumbled around her, taking her friendship with David with it. When Kelsey’s family decides to move Kelsey is ready to start over and leave the past behind. David, on the other hand, is not ready to let her leave.
Emmy & Oliver by Robin Benway- Emmy and Oliver had plans to be best friends forever, before their
