After college what could be my career ?
In the future, dreading work every day is what I fear.
I love to write, but I want to be a lawyer.
I’ll do better in court than writing the next Tom Sawyer.

Now I’m in my senior year of high school
And though I know I’m no fool.
But spinning around, lurking in my head,
Are questions with no answers about the future ahead.
Procrastination is my weakness, my Achilles heel,
How much longer will I find those extra minutes to steal ?
I still get work done, sometimes minutes before the bell.
Scrambling the night before is a student’s living hell.
Now what college seems right for me ?
Should I choose URI or Salve Regina University ?
For this education how will I pay ?
Maybe I should start looking for a job today.
After college what could be my career ?
In the future, dreading work every day is what I fear.
I love to write, but I want to be a lawyer.
I’ll do better in court than writing the next Tom Sawyer.
Life travels farther than the work and the school .
Questions I have get more personal too.
So what happens when old friends won’t give up a single glance ?
Like the brown haired boy with the short statured stance.
But the best friend I have is so loyal and true…
If I ever lose her, what then will I do ?
So one day will love hit me like a bullet from a gun ?
Even if my horoscope sign tells me I trust no one.
Is it normal to not dream of a perfect fairytale ?
All a man needs is class and a smile that never goes stale.
Everything I wonder and what I dream,
It all might not be as far away as it seems.
You see with these questions on my mind,
they have answers only time can find.
