Junior/Senior Prom Was a Night to Remember
BY SYDNEY TAYLOR
On the night of May 5th, the classes of 2017 and 2018 came together for a night of celebration at the junior/senior ball. Held at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet in Cranston, the event began at 6:30 pm.
Within the venue there was a photo booth where students could take pictures with friends to serve as a keepsake. Professionally taken photos were also offered for those who preferred such.
The night went seamlessly, with the space beautifully decorated with lights hanging from the ceiling, accompanied by welcoming and friendly staff who made the night that much more enjoyable.
After having been served dinner, everyone began to walk to the dance floor The music featured a combination of current hits while also including slow songs for the couples attending. The juniors and seniors came together as one to experience one of the beauties of high school, creating new memories that will last a lifetime.
As the night was drawing to a close the nominees for prom king and queen were asked to the stage as it was time to announce the results. The winners were announced as Fabian Coronado for prom king and Kendall Torborg for prom queen.
Although the night seemed to go by incredibly fast, it did not stop anyone from having a spectacular time.
All in all prom was a night one will not soon forget. We were surrounded by friends and incredible energy, helping it to become a fun filled night of laughter and love.
To the freshman and sophomores, I hope you are now excited for your future experience at prom. You won’t want to miss it.
