As Halloween approaches, the demand for new scary movies grows. The blockbuster film “IT” (the remake) premiered on September 8th, 2017. With over $700 million made from the film, it was a must-see for everyone. This year the second ‘chapter’ of IT has been released and is currently in theaters, but does it live up to the high expectations?
Apparently, to some, it did not. With only a sixty-three percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and other mixed reviews, it has not entirely lived up to the high hopes that many fans had set. Viewers say they felt like they were left wanting more, and that the film was not as scary or creepy as the previous one. Many appreciate the casting and thought the film was very funny but were still let down.
On the flip side of that, many also felt that the movie was great. With a great casting, humor, storyline, and creepiness factor, what else could fans have asked for? Overall, it seems like the film is hit and miss. After all, how much could go wrong with a creepy clown movie? It’s scary entertainment for Halloween season either way!
