Everyone, it’s that time of year again… it’s Christmas season! December is a month filled with Christmas music, decorations, occasional snow, ugly sweaters, and Christmas parties! There are so many fun ways to have a great holiday season. I hope you all are enjoying your December so far. However, with all the fun of the holiday season, there comes a slightly challenging task for some: gift giving. Sometimes you just don’t know what to get someone. Whether it’s a sibling, parent, friend, or teacher, it can be hard to find that perfect present. Here are some cheap/fun gift ideas that you can give to someone…. more specifically, your friends.
First off, sometimes your friends may tell you what they want for a gift. In that case, do your best to buy them the gift they desire (hopefully it’s not too expensive)! Most of the time, you are buying gifts for a Yankee swap, or just for a friend who wants their gift to be a surprise. To start, think of what this person or group of people like. This can help narrow down your search. If your friend hates candy or chocolate, then you know not to buy that. But if they love makeup, you can focus on makeup items. Seeing what someone likes can help narrow a path for you to find the perfect gift. So step one is to have a gift path/topic.
Next, when you have a gift topic (clothing, food, electronics, etc.) it’s time to search for the perfect gift. Just a reminder, the idea here is inexpensive gifts. Some good stores with great prices are Job Lot, Dollar Tree, Walmart, and Five Below. If the gift topic is clothing items, here are some ideas. Fuzzy socks, blankets, winter hats, scarves, warm slippers, or an animal onesie. These items are perfect for this time of year. Your friends will feel so cozy with their fuzzy socks and blanket by the fireplace! Another topic is food items. If you’re looking for candy, Five Below is a perfect store. You can buy candy/chocolate very cheap here, so many different kinds too. A common topic is seasonal. A Christmas candle, soap, bath bomb, purell, deodorant, body cream, shower gel, face mask, etc. Anybody who is into self-care and good smells will love these options.
It also may be the case that you’re going into shopping totally clueless. Maybe you are shopping for a Yankee swap and don’t know what anyone likes… or you just don’t know what your friend likes. No need to fear! Here are some general inexpensive gift ideas for friends. Headphones, a small pillow, movie tickets, hot chocolate mix, cookies, board game, ornaments, gum, keychain, D&D gift card, hat, pencils, phone case, makeup, small calendar, Itunes gift card, book, travel mug, gym bag, notebook, portable phone charger, and a framed photo of you and your friend! Some for school, and most for personal use. P.S… A Juul/Vape is not a good gift idea, even if your friend asks for it.
There are of course many more gifts out there, this is just scratching the surface. I gave you 38 gift ideas. I hope that you found this entry helpful. I’m sure whatever you buy your friends this Christmas season, they will love it. But, the best gift of all is the gift of friendship. Just being there for your friends is the thing they will cherish the most. So, I wish you all the best in your Christmas shopping and have a great holiday season!
