10 THINGS TO DO DURING SPRING VACATION! BY SARAH LOPES
If you find yourself at a standstill and wondering what to do during your CHS spring vacation/ “staycation”, here are 10 ideas to kickstart your fun!
- Catch up on the latest movies! During school going to the movies might be a bit of a hassle. But now you have a full week to see as many movies as you want! The most convenient part is where there is a showcase cinema, there is a mall or a very good restaurant.
- Go shopping! Our winter clothes are not going to do it anymore. Try going shopping at new stores. Find some new clothes to refresh your spring or summer wardrobe. Try to challenge yourself and go out of your comfort zone with outfits.
- Go to some free museums! If you are trying to find something that is cheap, try to frequent a museum. Most of the museum in Rhode Island are either free or relatively inexpensive. You can go with your parents, maybe some little siblings, or make a fun day trip with your friends.
- Read a book! Now this one might sound a little boring, but trust me it’s somewhat therapeutic. Maybe go to a cafe and put away your phone and just sit and read. Take a social media break for your mental health!
- Go to the Beach! Maybe not to swim because it might a little chilly. But pack a picnic and go with your friends. Especially on a day that is super nice.
- Catch up on schoolwork! It is the last quarter before school ends. Make sure you do your best. Take this time to maybe catch up and put your best foot forward going into the new quarter.
- Binge watch your favorite Netflix shows! This one is my personal favorite. What is better than taking the day to simply watch all your favorite shows. I know what I will be doing!
- Go to the Zoo! This one is for animal lovers. The Zoo is even better in the spring when it isn’t too warm, it’s just right. Make a day trip and for an added bonus bring a younger relative, they love Zoos as much as we do
- Go for a hike! Be one with nature and have some fun a short hike. Make sure you bring all the necessities, friends, snacks, and water.
- Enjoy the beautiful weather! Go outside and have some fun. During school, we are cooped up in a classroom all day. Take a break from the inside and enjoy the nature outside.
